Schools

today i went to school real early for the P1 registration. Many eager parents came to school on time just hoping to sign their kids up for a position next year. my school is still ok, i heard that good schools like Temasek primary has parents queueing up as early as 5am! wow... i say parents really are very anxious about their kids' education. maybe when my kid grows to 6 years old i will be one of those queueing early in the morning!

good school, neighbourhood school...does it really matter? i have taught in a good school before, St Anthony's Canossian Pri. The system is really good. The kids really have a lot of interesting programs to make them an all rounder. They have speech and drama class twice a week and hence, they are able to speak confidently and learn dramatiszation! Impressive! The girls also have keyboard lesson once a week. such programs can never be found in neighbourhood schools, which are more into academic. everything else is the same, teachers, methods of teaching...etc. just the programs difference.

if i can, i would try to go for a good school. ofcourse i will not force my kid so much in terms of studies because as an educator, i know what works to bring out the best of their potential. i am really excited at the new life we're going to have and a year or two, a life with little junior!
