Back to Work

Today i woke up early, because i'm going back to work! Haha...can't imagine I am so excited right! I have been on MC for 3 days so missed school and my colleagues for 3 days of workplan Seminar. Being a housewife is not so fun afterall, hmm...dunno about later but now is definitely not fun at all. Home Alone... no food, wanna faint, wanna vomit..NO FUN!

I miss my colleagues especially Marcia, Ah Ming and Ah Shi. Hee... finally get to have a nice meal with Ah Ming!

Marcia has officially taken over my duties in the Arts Department but i'll still be helping her along the way. She's really capable, able to handle stress. With my current "stamina"...nah...cant do it. I must say not all people are to be leaders..particularly me... i am more a helper than leader in every sense. But that doesn't mean i dun do my best and be lazy. If the whole world becomes leader, who'll be the members or followers? Aiyah...too chim right?

Anyway i am happy now, that i can finally let go of my work and focus on my health and my upcoming new class. I am so excited about teaching the young ones in the new year! Wooo...

I am now at mummy's place playing with Coco...she's so sleepy.... me too...

The Teaching Family!

Dear has been accepted into MOE and will be a Secondary Teacher! This Jan he'll be doing his contract teaching before going NIE in July. Sounds really good! He actually applied for Primary School but they reviewed and decide that he's better teaching a Secondary school! He'll be teaching Maths and D&T. Wow sounds so exciting! I am happy for him. By the time he goes into NIE, i'll be out of the teaching force. Looks like a plan! God's plan is really greater than ours!

Mum still loves me!

For a while i thought my parents are going to disown me! Today I went to see my family doctor in Bedok because of my persisting cough and vomittey. Whole waiting for my medicine, my parents saw me and asked me to go up. I went up and i thought i'll have a hard time!

When i went up, mum actually showed me what she bought from China and she bought so many things for me!!! I was so thrilled! Guess she's still a bit angry but afterall i guess she is trying to forgive and forget. Really thank God for turning the situation around! She is still very concerned about me and Baby. Cooked a delicious porridge lunch for me! *so touched...

I know i may be a little disgrace to all the preggy women cos i am so sickly and all the discomforts seem to stick to me. Oh well, what can i say.... I would not want to be in this position too ah... My colleagues are so concerned and i wanna thank Shu Ming for encouraging me and telling me that it's really alright to feel this way. It can be pretty sad when people dun understand what you're going through and sigh..who wants to feel sickly anyway?!
Look at CoCo! She has this nice necklace from China!!! She loves it!

See! Yellow stones

Spirit of Generosity

Yesterday we went to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. We gave her a nice frame with our family pic but you know what, we received much much more even though we're not the stars of the night! My parents in law gave us a huge ang bao for our honeymoon. She said wan us to fully enjoy the holiday. oh wow! Grandma also gave us an ang bao! Grand aunt also gave us an ang bao! Aunty Lisa and Uncle Pat also gave us a huge ang bao.... wow!!! God is good huh!!! Now our expenses are also taken care of and we can really enjoy to our hearts content!

I must say, Gary's family really has a spirit of generosity. They take pleasure in giving and they look so excited to give! We also wanna be like that! To be able to give good gifts to people. We'll start this Christmas!!! God is really good to us....
Yesterday we celebrated Gary's mum's birthday! We had a sumptous dinner! Yummy!

Before we went for the dinner we went for a swim. A nice paddlepop after a swim! I love paddlepop rainbow pop! Posted by Picasa

Cravings

My appetite is still considered very good! Dr Yvonne said its a bonus cos by now i shouldnt be able to have feelings for food. Wooo...today i suddenly feel like eating bak Kut Teh, or Crystal Jade Hor Fun...or Suntec Laksa...or Kway Teow...In the end we went for Suntec Laksa! Yummy! Although i feel like eating the world, i can only take in a bit because apparently there are some new hormones working very hard to make me feel bloatey! (*wonder why)

Anyway really thank my honey for being so sweet and understanding. He has been doing all the chores and making sure i am well fed and all! Hee... it's really important to have the love and support from your other half at this transformation period! Many people said i look chubbier but honey said not really...hee maybe when i put on 10kg he also wont notice a bit! (*phew)

I have already added 1.5kg to my usual skinny frame. The horrendous thing is i am no longer a 24in sizer but 26!!!! (*argh!) you might not have noticed right! Hee hee..
Sizzling hot wings! Yummy!!! My Supper! Posted by Picasa
Strawberries! My Fav Fruit! Posted by Picasa
So free at home...made some Konniyaku Jelly! Yummy!

After service we went to eat Teo Chew Porridge..very delicious!

Mornings...

I dun really like mornings now because that's what i call "Obimin" time. Obimin is a red tablet, supposedly to be very good for preggy women. My mother in law said she ate the same thing when she's expecting Gary (see how reliable and old Obimin is now!) Obimin looks like a giant red monster to me because everytime without fail when i swallow it, i'll puke. Sounds like a "great" start of the day huh. I'll always ask Gary "Is it Obimin time?!"

Other than Obimin, theres 3 other tabs to take and a milk powder that tastes horrible. Why are they inventing such horrible things for preggy women to take when they're already feeling so bad?! You can see why i dun really like mornings.

Morning sickness is beginning to creep in and i feel so bloated everytime i eat something (even in small portions!) Oh man...Dr Yvonne said this whole Dec will be a "No Fun" period because that's when all the horrible feeling comes. They'll go after that... oh well... But I'm not gonna take "No Fun" for an answer. In fact i'll make myself more fun!

Taking all the tabs can be a chore but as i lie down just now, i imagined little soldiers constructing the little brain of my baby. The soldiers were floating around and grasping all the DHA and AA that are in the tabs and say "This is good for this part" and taking some yellow fluid and putting together the brain. All the soldiers were busy taking all the red and yellow parts of the tabs in forming the little brain. Oh well, guess its all worth it. (But still, they should come up with more yummy tablets..hmm maybe embedded in chocolate? Embedded in ice cream?!)

The comforting thing is ofcos friends like you and the little baby... I am ok, guess now is the time where my emtions go on roller coaster!

Workplan Seminar Day 1

Today we had a Maths workshop with Dr Yeap Ban Har, lecturer of NIE. It's pretty interesting but i was not feeling so great the entire session.

Recently I have been feeling so fainty and all the food i have eaten feels like they're at the brim of my throat, gonna overflow anytime! Eirks! That's really an awful feeling. Jessie said that's because i am in the first trimester of my pregnancy so that's the so called "morning sickness" oh no! I didn't know having a baby is so tough! Ofcos i know i will still hang in there, knowing my little baby is safe inside me. Yu Shi felt so scared after seeing the very pale me! I tried putting on more makeup but i guess i just dun work. My VP Mr Foo is also very concerned. He said i really looked very pale and asked me not to do so much work and rest more. I told him that i wish to hand over the Art Department to someone else because with my current condition, i really cant run the department. He agreed and will look at some candidates. It will lightens my load and now i just hoped to be able to endure these few months and that knowing Baby is still doing great...i know it's all worth it :)
yesterday the choir helpers came over to my place and we made pendants for our choir members..xmas gifts!

See! Nice right!
