Toil and Toilet?

Toil means a laborious effort. This is the first week of school and i am really working hard! Just like sister kless! Well, not a lot of people enjoy working so hard but i believe because i worked hard, i will be able to enjoy my weekends and holidays even better!

This is already mid week and so far i am enjoying every moment in school. I did not yell at any kid yet and i guess i dont intend to too. My friends in school are really nice too and i make an effort to talk more to my neighbours.

Gary and i finally compromised on the colour scheme of housesi. We decided to have yellow for the hall and blue for the rooms. Quite a cool combination and everyone is happy! Thats good. So far all the decisions were jointly made because Gary felt that its our house so we should have equal inputs and ideas. Thats true too.

We went to see the progress of housesi everyday and it was really interesting to see bits and bits falling into place. Cool! By next week we should be able to see a bigger picture of the entire house!

Why toilet?? These few days my digestive system has been working real well. Well, because whenever i am scared so anxious, my bowels start to work! Tomorrow is D day too! My assembly talk! Whenever i thought about it...i will want to rush to the toilet! sigh... sad but true ah...

To a dear friend of mine...
The crossroads are coming to an end...the path ahead will be clearer soon and you will be able to see more clearly where to go from there...If its meant to be, it will be meant to be...nomatter how far...how long. Let this be a new start yeah?

Candle in the dark

I was really tired by the time i wrote this. Tuesday in school was the most hectic day of the week because i only have half an hour break in the whole six hours of teaching non stop. My kids were really funny. Let me quote one funny example.

Calvin was showing off his $10 to his friends and being agitated, his friends said that Mrs Tan would definitely have more money than that in her wallet. I was thinking..."hmm...thats true!" but guess what is Calvin's reply? I got a real shock and dunno whether to laugh or cry! Calvin said, "Mrs Tan where got money! She always buy bags...nice clothes everyday....shopping with her husband... spend all the money loh!" Haha...can you imagine... at least he notice that my things need money to buy too!!! Woo...

Gary and i went to Balestier to get the lights for housesi. Didn't know lights would cost that much too! costed us over $600! but i like lights...i dun like darkness... even if a smallest light would be great!

We have to choose the colour we want for the walls. it was really tough because our differences sets in. We did not come to an agreement yet and i guess we'll continue again. it was really hard because he has his idea and i have mine too. i know we need to compromise but who dun want to have a house according to his preference? i dun wanna fight so better sleep early...watch my CSI!!!! Haha... favourite pastime!

A good Start..

Woke up a bit late, 9.30 am. Gary is going for an interview at Philips. All the best Honey!

Checked my mails and saw Jessie online. She was so thrilled to show me a blog made by er... her yet to be born baby! Haha... Baby is such a cute little thing! Looking at his scan, he seems to lie there so still and flat and he looks really good! Little babies are really God's gift and God's own way of showing life... and life more abundantly! I believe a woman is called to be a mother and womanhood can really be perfected with the coming of a baby. That is why i love babies, especially one with my honey!

School is not so bad, got quite a bit of markings to do because i am reaping what i sowed! I gave them so many holiday homework so now...gotta mark! Ah.... My colleagues in school arent that bad... they are quite nice too. My neighbour, next to my cubicle, said that i am a real simpleton. I wonder was that good or bad!? She said sometimes when people are mean to me, i seems neutral and really think they are true to me. oh well, as i always tell Gary "Whatever, Whatever, Whatever" I guess i dun really bother also lah, cos even if i did, it wont make me a happier person ah!

Anyway, today is Tuesday and i woke up with red eyes again. so contact lens will be out of action today! All the way Strawberry Girl!

Monday! (beginning)

In a few more minutes, I would be going to school. Feeling a little jittery but I guess all will be well. Prayed and really asked God to hold my hands throughout the day. I know there's nothing to be afraid of! Afterall, I am a teacher, not a student!

Planned my day and activities I want to do with my class. I wonder if they miss me! Haha...we'll find out later!

Sprayed my hair dark brown, dun wanna shock my colleagues with this hair, guess as they gradually get used to it then i will start to reveal it's blondie look.

Did a bit of catching up on my bible reading. Saw this phrase "offered willingly" 3 times in 2 chapters! wow... i guess it's really what i need now...building fund is coming, all we need to do is just to offer willingly isnt it? Better start working out my finances with Gary... Arise n Build!

Fresh Outlook!

Haha..i was so lead to change the outlook of my blog after seeing Annie and Sister Klessis did theirs. Its really so cool! I like sister kless' template...all black! I told Gary i wan a nice header then he designed this header for me! So cute right! I was pretty helpless cos i dun know how to include in on blog and thankfully Annie was so sweet to help me do and it took her less than 5 minutes! Now i am very pleased with the new look of my blog!

Today i was a bit sian cos tomorrow school reopens. I still have tonnes of work to be done, many emails to send... sigh... but one thing at a time lah... Prayed and told God, i just wan to be a good teacher to my students...thats all...that simple. With that simple thought i braved myself for the days ahead. somehow as i was praying, i could see sandstorms of problems...tribulations...troubles heading towards me. God seems to want me to be prepared... well...i guess i have to be...but i know God will never leave me alone...

Gary and i bought our bed le!!! Beautiful platform bed that is so expensive! Well, no choice because its something that we'll spend our sweetest moments on so i guess its worth the money. Its really beautiful oh!

Then we had dinner with Gary's family because his brother, Gavin is going Thailand for training for a month. Mum is always so nice to me! Ordered my favourite dishes and gave us money for ice cream supper later. Gary, Gavin and I went to NYDC for some mudpies dessert. Fun listening to the brothers!

Great Movie!

Watched Initial D with Annie and it was really an exciting show! Not only did we get to stop breathing when we see the handsome casts speeding in their beautiful cars, we forgot to breathe during the so many funny scenes!

Jay Chou first main movie was a real success here. He was the heart throb here and with this perfect image of an innocent yet skilful racer, you can hear many "Woooo" whenever he's on screen. Annie and i also the same!

Well i wouldnt mind watching the show again! Gary was so excited about the show but opps..sorry honey! Being avid fans of fast cars, we really love to see the high powered cars in action, especially the Toyota Treuno AE86 drove by Jay. Its a pretty old model but seems like it really can outrun the many latest cars oh! Edison drove a Mazda Rx 7 which is quite common in Singapore streets. Its a fast car and looks really good too! Shawn Yue drove a Nissan Skyline GTR, wow...a gorgeous machine! It look really stunning with the black shine! Whenever Gary and i passed by a Skyline or a Sylvia, we would like "wow!" How could we miss out the famous Evo IV, recently being endorsed by Jackie Chan. The Evo family has been famous in their speed and attractive outlook. Evo IV is still the best even though the most recently baby is Evo IX.

Wow...i am all excited about all these cars again! They are simply...hmm...breath-taking! If you are a car lover, do catch the show. Well, else...the strong cast could be worth the money too! :)

Initial D, here we come!

Wow...i thought its gonna be another lazy afternoon! Saw Annie on Msn and we chatted as usual. Yesterday Brother Bruce told me its quite hard to get Initial D tickets so i went to GV website to check. Got 2 tics left so i block it and asked Annie if she wanna watch! Yes!!!!

This will be our first movie together or even outing alone! Wow...so exciting! We can catch Jay Chow together!!! Yummy!

Black and White

I heard this from somewhere and i used it to encourage Gary once when he was feeling quite down. This round, he told me the story again to remind me of some important principles in life.

Imagine a white serviette infront of you. Drip a drop of black soy sauce on it. What did you see? Most people would say "I can see a black drop"... Yes, its not wrong with that answer but how is that nobody can see the white paper?? It is so true in our everyday life. We were so concerned with the little black drop that we forgot the entire white paper!

Friends, if why dont we try to look beyond the little black drop and look around at the white paper instead?!

Bridge Over Troubled Waters

Today many things happened in my workplace and i am glad that it all happened on Friday because i'll be going to church and i know i really need to come back to the presence of God to be soaked with His grace once again. God seems to be building a bridge for me to cross all these troubled waters!

One thing that i really cannot stand is speculations. I dun like people to talk behind my back or wondering what i am doing. I rather if anyone has any questions about me to be forthcoming and i welcome confrontations. I rather they speak to me face to face to give me a better position to defend myself and make them less confused too. Murmuring can kill and destroy people, destroy and break the trust. Why go through that?

i was really upset over what happened in school and i really cant wait for my bond to end next year and bid the school farewell. i really need God to speak to me for i dont want to do anything that is against His will. God...tell me!
