Poor baby...

Gary is sick! Oh no...he seldom falls sick...

we were out to lovenest then he started feeling unwell, slight feverish... i brought my thermometer around cos these few days we have been feeling feverish...his temperature is quite high...38.1 degrees. I finally convinced him to go see a doctor. When we got home, his temperature shot to 38.6 degrees after dinner and eating medicine! I was mopping him the whole few hours with ice water, hoping the heat would go down..it was slightly better...but he still feels very bad...

I pray that his fever would go down and have a good rest tonight...tomorrow you'll be alright honey! God is our healer!

Praising God with Good results!

This morning i woke up very early cos i wanted to log on to check Gary's result! Seems like i was more excitied than him, well it's true!

When i saw his results, i was very happy! Praising God for truly giving him a miracle. He has never got such good results in his years in NTU. He was very happy too. As i looked back, last semester was really bad for him. He managed to pick himself up and told himself that he would definitely do better the next round. I am so proud of him because i witnessed how he went through all these months. He really worked hard, served hard and everyday we would still meet up and he carried his roles as a hubby well too! I believe God sees it all and because he honoured God, God will honour him back too! That's the driving force for all the students i guess!

Sabie also received her results and i know she's very happy too! Congrats all my friends! Graduate le! Going to step out into the working world. It's a different world out there but i believe it's gonna be a brand new marketplace for you all to claim in the name of Jesus! Jia you bah!

Anyway i am so proud of all my students friends cos i can never imagine myself ploughing through the way they did! They did well and we ought to have a little celebration huh! hee...

Today i am just staying at home because Gary is not feeling so well, me too...have been having sore throat and slight fever for the past few days... rest will enable us to go further!

Madagascar, a show worth the $$

You should watch the show "Madagascar"! It's so funny and i love it! Oh especially the little penguins doing all the funny stunts! I love Penguins! And in the end, watch out for the part when the penguins were sun burnt! Pink all over their white fur...that's really catchy!

Oh i like one phrase that Alex the lion said to Marty the Zebra "I would make 20 clones out of you and kill all your clones!" Got it??? Haha...i gotta think for quite a while to get it! Well, he just wanna vent his anger yet not kill his friend..but his clones! what a remark right?! Anyway it's really a fun show...we thought there'll be a lot of kids but no! A lot of adults in fact!

Tickets price has soared but i guess watching it occasionally wont hurt.. just for the fun of it... Watching Madagascar is definitely fun, especially with your loved ones!

Happening Day!

Today i was very happy! It was another rush rush day but i was happy, very happy.

Woke up late today and had to rush to school because a celebrity is coming to my school and i am in charge of his show. He is Einstein from Kids Central and apparently, kids in Singapore know who he is and he's a much loved celebrity. An up and coming Super Hero of Singapore. Oh, I took a photo with him and you can scroll down to take a look! I enjoyed myself throughout his show in my school and was priviledged to be his host for a few hours, telling jokes and sharing his thoughts about saving the world! He said i'm cute! Gee.... *Grin*

A bit sad too, cos my favourite student, Firdaus, is transferring to another school and i will surely miss him a lot. He made a card for me and i was really touched. Firdaus, I would miss your laughter! Study Hard...Mrs Tan and the rest of 2/4 will miss you lots!

School ended early at 5pm today, went to Jurong Point with Gary for a nice dinner. I bought 2 t-shirts, both Green! hee... told Angeline, i love nice clothes and i always believe in looking good, like pastor Sun! the kind of clothes you wear is very important too, cos people sees your outward before the inward most of the time! well, i love looking good anyway!

My choir IC Sister Cheryl told me to stand in the first row on stage. My friends from E78 kept making fun out of it, saying it's either i'm "promoted" or too short! Err.... It's neither, my friends! Haha...

Yu Hao has been grounded and i am quite worried about him. No way to get him too... God... let his parents see his change, that his result has improved in fact! That this family will love each other more and that they will allow him to come church again. God, i believe he feels very bad now and You are all he has now. Please comfort him and tell him that we are sticking by him this time. Yu Hao, if you manage to read this... please know that we are praying for you and even if the whole world forsakes you, you still have us, and God will walk through the valley with you! Jia you ah!

Tomorrow my brother is performing at a pop concert and he gave Gary and i 2 tickets. We will go and support him, come to think of it, i'm a musician's sister! Haha...cool!

Half Day Joy!

Today is Friday and a very happy day for all teachers i guess! After today, we will be going for our well deserved one month break! Cool! I can't wait for that to happen! And today school will end early for all afternoon session, we will end work at 5pm!

I will have a rather pack day because of then many events going to take place in school and i have to meet a vendor in my free time. I have 1 and a half hour with my kids to finish checking all their books...hope i can do a good job on that!

Yesterday cell group was great...i pray that God will take us from where we were now to the next level of commitment. Ultimately to be at the Missions Level!

Uppity Song

What a cold morning! I woke up at 640am cos i need to be in school early. So cold! I saw Coco having some warm blankets on her...while i was shivering into the bathroom! Whats the world coming to?! Haha...my little doggie actually makes a warm bed for herself and my mum would check if she has her blanket on!

It's good to see Annie doing better le...she's picking herself up and...she's a real fighter! I say...this girl is strong! And i know she will emerge a victor in Christ! Sister, jia you! We'll fight this fight with you, we are always there for you and you know, you can count on us! Good, i like ur uppity messages! So UPPITY! makes me feel like making a song out of it!

Estee has a great blog message too. So happy for her in many ways. Estee...God will bring you to a place where you can shine like never before for Him! Trust in Him! Oh...and enjoy yourself in China ah...a real break before you embark in a new journey of your life!

Gary shared with me some cool news yesterday and i am thrilled! I guess Estee can share my sentiments. Jia you oh boys! Be humble and ready to serve like never before!

I talked to Isabel for over an hour yesterday...sharing all the little things in teaching. Guess we can both relate to each other in this area! It's really very encouraging when we can sharpen each other and rub shoulders together to walk this teaching path together. Girl, it's only your second day, you will get used to it, and enjoy this "market place"!

For me, i am also singing an uppity song! So many good news so many people getting their life back, including myself. Where can i find greater joy?! Tonight we'll have the second round of the studio recording. I am ready! It's gonna be fun. Gary will be packing dinner for me! So sweet right? Chicken wings from Centerpoint! (oh he went to get the mattress and iron at Robinsons sale!) Haha...cute...

Yes, it's Tuesday

I was awaken by a rude call from the Arts Museum but i shan't elaborate on that because i have already sent my babbling letter to them. I was praying in tongues on my way to school because i am one person who needs to start the day right..then the rest will follow suit. Thats why i am so afraid that my day will be as disasterous!

It's not perfect but still alright. Yu Shi was posted to my school and now part of the BGPS family! i was so happy because we were posted to this school together two years ago but she went to further her studies and here, two years later back again! We had lunch together and i know she has a lot of hope in her new career. I wish her the best! Gary told me he wanted to be a bicycle mechanic. i told him i was ok with that, because whats the point of earning a few thousands a month yet not happy, or always having to slog to work! I admire those people who had the courage to really do what they want and not tied down by any financial bonds. In another year, i would be like them! Oh well, hopefully...

Annie is not having a good time and my heart aches with her. i have been through that and sometimes still facing some minor "after shocks". i know it's not easy. Annie...hang in there! My eldest brother got fed with canes every day after he went church! That lasted for more than a year! His efforts are being paid off now...he has proven himself to be faithful. i know you and i also can endure. Remember no temptation has overtaken us only such that we can handle. Hang in there sister! i will cry with you....and eventually, cheer with you in victory.

First time in studio!

It was such an exciting Vesak day for me! Gary and i decided to sleep in more today and we met in the afternoon to go back to lovenest and complete our final design. we went to Compasspoint to walk around and wanted to get a washer but instead got drawn by a product "Karcher", which can mop the floor using the pressurized steam. it was absolutely cool! we bought it and went back to try it, wow..it really works wonder! Stubborn stains can be removed easily and mopping the floor seems so fun now! It's a new toy for us!

I went for the studio recording in the evening at some secluded industrial estate. the studio is quite nicely furnished though and apparently many celebrities went there to have their recordings too! Pastor Sun was there and baby Dayan too. He was sleeping so soundly! Pastor Sun spoke briefly to us and it's the first time i stood so near to her!

The whole recording process was tiring and tedious because we got to do many takes but we enjoyed ourselves very much. it's a great time to fellowship and get to know other choir members! Dan Pringle, our producer, cracked many jokes to perk us up! we didn't manage to finish doing all the 14 songs so there'll be another session again this week.

I wanna thank my choir i/cs here, Sister Idy, Sister Meida and Sister Cheryl for waiting for gary with me. i was the only one left because the rest took the cabs booked by church and gary is coming to fetch me. i was waiting outside for gary. it was really dark and scary, even the security guard looked spooky! sister idy was supposed to drive the rest of the ic back but made a turn back to stay with me and offered to drop me at the main road, away from the spooky place. i was very touched! Thank you sisters!

When i saw Gary, i was so happy. oh my! like a lost child finally found her parents! i was just glad to see him again and knowing i am safe now. thank you honey!

I yearn for a deeper understanding of spiritual things, a deeper insight of His great plans, a deeper knowledge of our callings, a deeper capacity to do all.... with love...

as i read my friends' blogs, i was often encouraged by their words and what God spoke through them. i began to sit down and quietened myself, telling God, i am ready for a fresh lesson. "Tell me God, what can i learn today?" The marvellous thing is, "Ask and it shall be given", yes, God never keeps quiet...He delights in you yearning to draw near to Him, to His thoughts!

i had many revelations pouring out like never before, convicting and convincing me of many things i never knew. i shall not elaborate on all these because i am still trying to digest them! I just want to leave you with a verse

"And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it." 1Cor12:26

Tiring Evening...

Woo...i just came back from some drinks with Gary. We were so tired....been a long day for us again, more so for him cos he has ministry while i zzzz!

We were quite satisfied with what we did today! We went to lovenest in the morning to sit in the middle of the hall and designed the layout. we managed to finish designing the hall, so maybe monday will work on the individual rooms. its quite fun but he's then one mainly giving the designs, i just say "yes" "ok" or "no". its definitely going to be a beautiful place!

i bought a new phone today! we call it "xiao bai" haha...dun know why but just feel like changing phone. you can see sweat rolling off gary's head! hee...well...i promised him that this phone will last more than 6 months as all my previous phones got stripped prematurely! but i do really like this phone lah...white...clamshell...simple...

We then went to Settlers cafe at Holland V. Quite an interesting place where people can play board games while having some drinks. cool...but a bit noisy for me so i guess i kinda cant fit it and we have a big crowd there so quite hard to play games too.

mummy bought some utensils for lovenest. she's so nice. i know nomatter how stern she may be, she still loves me a lot, she calls me "ah bao"! haha...always and forever...

oh did i tell u that i am selected for our church album studio recording? wow! i can sing in the studio with pastor sun! so priviledged! we will be doing the recording on Monday at one of the studios in Tampines. i was really looking forward to it!
