Coco sees the vet

Coco is sick...pants vigorously and can't sit properly, seems like something in her buttocks is bothering her. She walks super slow too, mum was worried so since i am off today, my parents and i decided to go to the animal hospital.

Dr Dennis examined her and stick his fingers into her anus and dug some stuffs out! Eeee.... he explained that Coco's anal sac is infected. i learnt something about dogs today!

Every dog will have 2 anal sacs inside their anus. one is for them to urinate and another to secrete the chemical for them to mark their territory. Since coco is a domestic pet, she has no need to make use of the other anal sac hence the anal gland is too full and eventually got infected. they lose the ability to release the chemical so the sac became swollen and pretty painful. Doctor dennis squeezed the chemicals out of the sac just now, sort of emptying the sac for her. gave her some anti biotics to reduce the infection and she should be alright. what a relief!
