Load off my mind..

Today we went to Carlton for our wedding dinner food tasting. Both familes were there and it was really fun tasting all the food one round! This may be the only time Gary and i can taste the food cos on the wedding day we might not even touch most of the items!

During the dessert part, Gary's mum and my mum discussed about the chinese tradtitions which have to be followed and one thing about my mother-in-law is that she is really a very detailed and organised person! thank God for that! she listed out all the things to be ironed out so as not to create any future misunderstandings to the customs. That's really thoughtful! my mum on the other hand was a very simple woman. she is not so particular about all the customs and she told me what's more important is Gary and my happiness together as husband and wife. i love her very very much.

Gary and i decided to tell her about our church wedding plans and we wondered if she would freak out. even my eldest brother said we better not mention it. i guess its the right time and right thing to do though. i remembered last time, she told me if i were to become a christian, i can forget about this home and forget about her. the most recent one she told me that she would never step into our new house because it's a christian home. i was so sad then...nonetheless, when she heard us saying our plans for the church wedding, she was pretty calm. she still say that she would not attend but she told my dad to go. I can see how much God has moved her heart! even if she's not totally supportive, i really thank God for everything. i will still continue to pray that she will eventually turn up at the Art Museum. oh, she still came to housi several times! See...?? God never fails...

It's a load off my chest. now...i can move on..

Dun worry k, Mei.. I am sure God will touch and soften your mum's heart. She will come to understand that it's something that is very important and significant to you. Let's continue praying together! :D
