Feeling of Being Parents
Yesterday we went to Dr Yvonne (my gynae) for my regular check-up. We were so looking forward to it because we would get to see our baby again, after 3 weeks and wondered how this little fellow looks like now! I tell you, the feeling of anticipation is really beyond words!
Everyday i would wonder if it's still there, still doing well...because i can hardly feel it. Every visit to Dr Yvonne is a visit of reassurance!
When we looked into the monitor, the little fellow waved at us! Amazing! I almost wanted to cry because it's very much alive! Dr Yvonne asked it to wave again and it did! More than that, it did a little dance for us, shaking the bums and kicking its legs! Wiggling here and there. Wow... First time parenthod kicked in. I looked at Honey and he's mesmerized in the "show". I know he felt equally thrilled.
Then baby stopped everything and put its legs and hands down, in a lying position again. Dr Yvonne said it had gone back to sleep and its pretty normal for them to wake up for a few seconds and sleep for another few. Imagine you wake up for one hour and sleep for one hour then wake up again. That's its life!
More than that, it's a big fellow now, 2.85cm! Haha... well, may be small to us but in the fetus world, that's an achievement! It's growing ahead of time in fact! Hmm... strong BB!
I look forward to seeing it again in January, hope to be able to see more of it in action again! Oh well... thats the feeling of being parents :)
