Gary's Cactus Revelation
Gary and i are fond lovers of cactus. We admire their ability to withstand the harshest environment and their makeup is especially attractive. We have several small cactus at home and we vowed to get a giant cactus to welcome our guests at our new place!
Gary has this cactus which he places at his study table, near the window sill. It was all shriveled up, and growing in so many directions, making its "hands" crooked as if doing a mysterical dance! We sort of gave up on it, thinking that it's just how cactus are.
A few days ago, when i saw the cactus again, i asked Gary if he watered that guy enough...he then placed the shriveled guy in a container with a bit of water (mind you, he's not watering the cactus but letting it absorb it's own water!)
Yesterday when i saw the cactus, it looks so healthy! So green, so straight, so happy!!! Wow...Gary said this was a revelation, how true... All you need is just to be soaked in the water of life! You may be dried up, even people around you forsake you, thought that it's only natural but just a soak in the waters of life, just a touch from God, a desire to thrist for Him can bring about 180 degrees of change! The cactus is no longer what it was yesterday! It seems to be full of hope and joyful to greet the sun everyday again, only if Gary will not stop it's water source!
